Video ads are some of the highest converting types of advertising on Amazon. Video ads aren’t available to anyone, and ads must meet very specific requirements in order to be accepted by Amazon.
In this blog, we’ll be focusing on the most popular type of video ad, which is available via Sponsored Brands. There is an alternative type of video ad available via Amazon DSP, which is a separate platform from what most Amazon sellers are using. As such, DSP video ads are not included in this post. For more on DSP, read this article.
Can You Run Video Ads on Amazon?
Absolutely! In order to do so, you need to have access to Sponsored Brands ads through Brand Registry.
If you’re not enrolled in Brand Registry, or need a 101 on getting the most out of the program, read this blog on everything you need to know about Brand Registry.
Once you have Brand Registry, you will then have access to Sponsored Brands when creating new Amazon ads.
Once you begin the process of creating a new Sponsored Brands ad, you’ll see the option to create a Sponsored Brands Video ad (SB+V).
Why Don’t I See The Option To Create Video Ads on Amazon?
If you don’t see this option, you either do not have Brand Registry or you have not tried to create a Sponsored Brands ad. Remember, video ads are a type of Sponsored Brands ad, so you’ll have to access SB to see options for SB+V.
