Last Update: March 10, 2021
Prime Day is Amazon’s annual mega-event, during which Prime members get access to exclusive deals from Amazon sellers. It is one of the highest volume shopping periods of the year due to the deep discounts Prime members receive.
In order to participate, Sellers need to “get in” early to secure their Prime Day deals. These are special discounts that sellers commit to in order to ensure their product is highlighted and sold as a part of the formal Prime Day event.
Prime Day deals are becoming available mid-March, which means it is time to start looking at your inventory and potential Q2-Q3 sales goals.
The Entourage Management Services team has observed that most sellers are currently seeing Prime Day Deals opening for them between the dates of March 22, 2021 - May 9, 2021.
This leads us all to the question on every seller’s mind...
With Prime Day Deals opening for sellers so early in 2021, it is unlikely that Amazon plans to repeat the special Prime Day schedule they had in 2020. 2020’s schedule was augmented due to the COVID-19 pandemic and logistical complications derived from it.
It is safe to assume we’ll see a Prime Day date closer to when Amazon has traditionally held it.
Amazon usually holds Prime Day during the first or second week of July. When the event is held over two days, they are usually on a Monday and Tuesday. That means we’re likely to see a July 5 & 6 Prime Day or a July 12 & 13 Prime Day.
Amazon usually announces the actual dates towards the end of June. If Entourage receives any information that we can publicly share before then, it will be posted right here for Entouragers to check out.
